The Buffalo Sabres were able to take away a win against the Columbus Blue Jackets at home. Evan Rodrigues opened the scoring with a goal mid way through the opening frame. Columbus would tie it up in the third and send it to overtime. Jack Eichel would play hero however, as his goal 30 seconds into OT won it for the Sabres. Carter Hutton got his first win in net since October 22 vs San Jose.
