UNIONDALE, N.Y. --- The Buffalo Sabres did battle with the New York Islanders as they continued their four game road trip, Buffalo took the lead in the first period with a goal from Curtis Lazar off the tip in from Jokiharju. that was the only goal of the first period which almost ended in a fight but it was broken up by the refs. In the second period the Islanders tied it back up with a goal from Anders Lee.

The third period is where things got hot, the Islander's Matthew Martin opened it up with a goal 3 minutes into the period which was responded to with a beautiful goal by Buffalo's Sam Reinhart, the puck was falling and he swatted it out of the air and into the goal to tie the game back up. But with 4:30 left in the game Gean-Gabriel Pageau hit the final goal for the Islanders on a power play to seal the win.

Buffalo move on to take on the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday before they finally make their way home from this road trip.
