This week's Pet Pick of the Week feature includes Honey Boo Boo & Rasputia from Standing Together an Animal Rescue Service in North Tonawanda, NY! Aren't they adorable?!
THEIR STORY:
Honey Boo Boo and Rasputia were surrendered back in November of 2020. When they were surrendered, they were surrendered with a male as well. Female guinea pigs can get pregnant as early as 4 weeks and male guinea pigs can start reproducing at 3 weeks. Upon arrival at the shelter, the guinea pigs were instantly separated, but it was already too late as these three guinea pigs were already caged together for a couple of months. On December 5th 2020, Honey Boo Boo gave birth to two little pups who quickly found their homes. Honey Boo Boo and Rasputia have been patiently been waiting to go to their fur-ever homes but since they are a bonded pair, Standing Together had to wait until Honey Boo Boo was done nursing her babies. As soon as Honey Boo Boo was done nursing her babies three weeks later, that is when Rasputia decided to have her litter of pups. Rasputia gave birth to three little pups on December 25th, 2020. Rasputia's babies are all grown up and found their fur-ever homes. Now it is Honey Boo Boo and Rasputia's turn to find their fur-ever homes! They are both female, a little over 2 years old, and love their snacks. Honey Boo Boo and Rasputia are social with people they know and love to popcorn when they get their hay. They love to play "queen of the hay pile" and wheek at you when you say hello to them.
