Packing the Wolf Packs Bags

ROCHESTER, N.Y. --- The Rochester Americans host against the Hartford Wolf Pack tonight, ending in a commanding 8-4 win for the Amerks. All the Amerks players have made a significant impact during the contest. Whether it was showcasing their electric offense or their dominant, bruising defense.

Though, the Amerks didn't come out of the gate with this play-style. During the first period, Hartford's Forward Tim Gettinger would get the first goal of the game, setting the tone for Hartford with 6:18 in the first.

This would overall challenge the Amerks to overcome an early deficit. Amerks Forward Lukas Rousek would respond seven minutes later in the period, scoring a game tying goal. Rousek would score again off a power play 19:19 into the first, as well as Amerks Defender Jeremy Davies 17:08 in the first.

The first goal of the period would be assisted from Amerk's Center Branden Biro and Rousek, and be scored by Amerk's Defender Ethan Prow.

Both Hartford and Rochester would exchange more shots, as Rochester looked more energized and poised compared to Hartford, as they would let up another goal by Amerk's Center Mason Jobst, who scored off a great pass by RW Michael Mersch.

10:29 in the second, young 19 year-old Jiri Kulich would sneak one into the net to put the Amerks up by five scores in the middle of the second period. At this point, Rousek and Biro put up a three point night for their team.

The Wolf Pack had to answer soon, which they would end up doing with 4:32 left in the second period when Hartfold's LW Anton Blidh would score to lower Hartfold's deficit to four.

Though the Amerks would respond two minutes later with Isak Rosen putting up Hartford's deficit back to five with 2:49 left in the second period. Biro would also have recorded another assist, which would add on to Biro's fourth point of the night.

Not even a minute into the third period, newly acquisitioned player for the Amkers, Austin Strand, would start showing off his physical nature, as he would get into a brutal fist fight with Hartford Forward Will Cuylle. That moment could've shown a lot about Strand's passion for the game, and what he could possibly bring the team like the Amerks going forward.

During the start of the third period, Hartford would switch out goalie Dylan Garand for Louis Domingue. 6:01 into the third, Biro would get his fifth point of the night by scoring a goal off Rosen and Prow's assists during the power play.

During the rest of the game, Hartford would go on to score two more goals. One scored by Hartford Forward Lauri Pajuniemi 7:54 in the third, and Hartford Forward Karl Henrikson scoring 13:10 in the third.
