ROCHESTER, NY--- The Red Wings entered the game looking to get revenge over the Omaha Storm Chasers after falling to them 1-0 in 10 innings on Friday night. The Red Wings only got one hit as they were shut out once again by Omaha 2-0.

"It's just the way it goes sometimes," Red Wings manager Matt LeCroy said. "We just got to be able to bounce back. The guys are confident. Sometimes you just get outmatched and today we missed some pitches that we wish we could get back."

The game was scoreless through five innings with two hits between both teams. The Storm Chasers got the offense going in the top of the sixth. John Rave led off the inning with a triple and two batters later, Nick Loftin drove in Rave on a single. Later in the inning, after Loftin advanced to second on a balk, Brian O'Keefe singled and brought home Loftin to give the Storm Chasers a 2-0 lead.

The Red Wings threatened in the bottom of the sixth. Back-to-back walks from Jack Dunn and Jackson Cluff put runners on first and second with nobody out. Omaha reliever Jonathan Bowlan then entered the game and was able to get a strikeout and a double play to end the Red Wings threat.

Starting pitcher Brad Lord tossed 5.2 innings for the Red Wings. He allowed two runs on four hits while walking two and striking out four. Lord has pitched five or more innings in 17 out of his last 18 starts, including tonight.

"He's good," LeCroy said. "He gave up two in the sixth inning but he had a good mix of pitches and threw the ball over the plate. It's tough when you give up two runs in six innings and you get the loss. If he continues to do what he is doing, we will win more games."

Dylan Crews notched the only hit of the game for Rochester, an infield single to lead off the game. He was then caught stealing second. The Red Wings have not scored a run in 19 straight innings. The last time the Red Wings were shut out in back-to-back games was April 16-17, 2013 against Scranton/Wilkes Barre.

With the loss, Rochester now have a 3-2 lead in the series. The Red Wings will look to get the offense going against Omaha tomorrow at Innovative Field at 1:05 p.m.

"They're relaxed," LeCroy said. "I told them after the game to keep fighting. We will be better offensively tomorrow. Just come out and free yourself up and try to do whatever you can to get on base. Tomorrow hopefully we'll string a bunch of stuff together offensively and give our pitcher some breathing room. We just have to flush it and come back tomorrow."

Kyle Luckman (1-1, 7.88) is probable to start for the Red Wings and the Storm Chasers are expected to start Alec Marsh (0-0, 0.00).
