When the top ranked team in the state rolls in anything less then a perfect performance often won't cut it. On Friday night, Holley experienced that firsthand as Canisteo-Greenwood dominated the Holley homecoming game 52-8. Canisteo-Greenwood entered the evening ranked #1 in New York State for 8-man football and they did very little to provide doubt of that title on this night.

Senior RB Keegan Foote was the story from start to finish for Canisteo-Greenwood. He recorded six rushing touchdowns including four that came from 34 or more yards away and totaled 227 yards on just the touchdown scores alone.

Foote opened the scoring with a 20 yard scamper before adding a five yard plunge on the ensuing drive. He broke off back to back highlight reel runs of 71 and 50 yards for his third and fourth scores on the following two drives. A 34 yard score capped off his first half before he finished his evening with his sixth score from 45 yards out. The Hawks were left searching for answers on how to slow down Foote all night long.

Well Foote controlled the offensive side of the football, the defense of Canisteo-Greenwood pulled their weight as well. Forcing three consecutive three and outs from Holley to start, they took a shutout into the fourth quarter of Friday's bout. Holley eventually broke through after back to back hook ups through the air between Destin Kuyal and Vincent Golisiano got the Hawks on the board for their only score of the night.

Holley has now dropped three games in a row well Canisteo-Greenwood continued their unbeaten campaign. The Hawks will take on Pembroke next Friday as they try to get back in the win column. Canisteo-Greenwood will host the #3 ranked team in the state Bolivar Richburg on the same day.
