In the top of the fourth inning the Vikings got a run after first basemen Zach Leslie singled and drove in outfielder Jeremey Peddle. This would be the only run the Vikings would score in the game.
In the top of the fifth inning, after a double by outfielder Nick Pastore, outfielder Zach Eldred hit a screaming ground ball that was misplayed by the second baseman and allowed Pastore to score from second.
