BROCKPORT, N.Y.—The Brockport Golden Eagles men’s swimming and diving team recorded a dominant 166.5-34.5 victory over the Fredonia State Blue Devils in their Chuck-a-Duck senior night meet.

“I swam better than I did all season today at senior night,” Brockport senior Luca Olivieri said. “It was electric here today.”

Brockport’s meet started out strong, taking first and second in the 400-yard medley relay. The team of Matt Cole, Sean Feeney, Erik Parkes and Joe Keeney finished in 3:50.75.

Brockport continued to display their dominance in the 1650-yard freestyle with Jace Fredericksen finishing first with a 18:17.76 and Michael Laviani claiming second in 19:13.03.

The 200-yard freestyle was another one-two finish for the Golden Eagles with Parkes and Josh Lauzonis finishing in 1:51.16 and 1:59.68, respectively.

The 50-yard freestyle had a tie for first place between Brockport’s Jack Olsian and Fredonia’s Noah Wisniewski finishing in 23.08. Keeney claimed third with a 23.19.

“I’ve only been back since the new year,” Olsian said. “So, to come in and tie for first in that event is really uplifting and positive. And honestly, it was really cool just how rare a tie is. I’ve never been part of one until today.”

“It’s been nice having Jack back since we got back on campus,” Brockport head coach Zack Wahl said. “It’s great to see one of our hardest workers coming back and performing well.”

Brockport’s dominant showing continued in the 400-yard individual medley, where Olivieri snagged first in 4:24.02 and Laviani got second in 4:48.17.

Ren Watson won the 3-meter diving with a score of 257.55.

Keeney and Jonathan Abraham grabbed first and second for the Golden Eagles finishing in 2:28.28 and 2:47.16 respectively.

Carter Lundin, Olsian and Jacob Hagen grabbed first second and third in the 100-yard freestyle with times of 51.56, 51.89 and 54.85 respectively.

Brockport grabbed another first place finish in the 200-yard backstroke when Cole recorded a 2:11.69.

Fredericksen found another dominant victory for the Golden Eagles, recording a first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:09.75.

Watson came in first once again on the 1-meter board with a score of 265.95.

Olivieri got the Golden Eagles a win in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:24.28 to close out the individual events.

“That was actually a game-time decision,” Wahl said. “He asked to swim it. I was like ‘sure, why not?’ And I think it was good for him to work on doing a build because that’s going to be similar to what his third 100 of his 400 IM is going to be at Empire 8’s in a couple weeks.”

The 200-yard relay was all Brockport. They competed with a team from each graduating class. The team of freshmen ended up closing the night in 1:32.65.

“The team’s in good hands,” Olivieri said. “It’s just going up from here.”

Full meet results are available on meet mobile.

Brockport hosts Empire 8 championships from Feb. 19 to 22 at Webster Aquatic Center with sessions starting at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. all four days.
