ROCHESTER,NY- Sunday August 12th, 2018 was a very special day at Frontier Field. The Rochester Red Wings welcomed their 10 millionth fan.
Kaitlin Clementi of Greece went to the Red Wings vs. Charlotte Knights game with her family, and was picked out of the crowd to participate in a promotion on field in the 4th inning.
What she didn’t know, was that she was the 10 millionth fan in Red Wings history.
Clementi says that she has been going to Red Wings game for as long as she can remember, and this one will be one she will never forget.
“My parents took me to Red Wings Games when I was little.” Clementi said. “So we wanted to come today to bring our son to his first game. So a couple days ago we got a big group of people together to come to the game and he’s really enjoying it and so are we.”
Clementi wanted to bring her son to his first game, and this is one that will be remembered for the rest of their lives.
“For me it’s all about family. We always come with my parents, my aunts, my uncles, brought some friends today, so it’s all about family and time together, and enjoying such a large event in Rochester.” Clementi said.
Rochester Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason said the point of events like this is to give fans memories that will last a lifetime.
“Kaitlin ended up walking out of here with a great prize package and a really cool jersey.” Mason said. “It ended up being a day that I think her family will never forget.”
Mason said he wants to thank all the fans of Rochester for making this day possible.
Clementi ended up winning a prize pack containing a jersey, cap, 2018 team signed baseball, 10 undated tickets and a single-game suite rental during the 2019 season.
