We all have that band or artist we are in love with after randomly finding one of their songs. The Knocks are definitely one of those groups that are an unsung hero in the music world. Electronic music has been huge for the past few years, and it is a bit surprising they are not as popular as they should be. One of their earlier hits “Blackout” created the best feel-good, party vibe. After hearing their new album, Testify, I know they are the real deal and have a great vibe. Although there are only 6 songs on it, they bring a great mix of feelings going on. The vocals involved are also truly beautiful, and they know how to bring in the beat and audio. After hearing one of the songs, “Feel Love,” it is nice to know they slightly morphed Delacey’s voice to fit the mood of the song. The interesting thing about the Knocks however is, they have produced beats for other popular artists such as Katy Perry, Flo Rida, and Ellie Goulding. They also make remixes of other popular songs. Some remixes they have made include “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People and “Closer” by Tegan & Sara, along with many other well-known songs. Seeing how popular these other artists and their songs got, I really hope Testify becomes one of the next radio hit albums. These songs are great for dancing, driving in the car, shopping, and pretty much anywhere you want a good beat in the background. If you like electronic, pop tunes I highly recommend checking out the Knocks and their album Testify.
