Logic began hitting the radio waves and billboards with his debut studio album “Under Pressure” in 2014 and he didn’t take a break with his second album releasing just a year later, titled “The Incredible True Story” - an album that continued his momentum. Now his third album in three years, “Bobby Tarantino” is showing that Logic is not taking a break and is continuing his grind in the music industry. The first tack is a small intro to the album, that leads directly into “Flexicution”, which is easily the best song on the album with great lyrics, fun verses and a classic simple beat for Logic to go over. “The Jam” goes a bit on a faster, fun pace with a bit of auto tune during the hook, but is balanced out with strong verses. The fourth track, “Slave it 2” has no lyrical content until half way through the song and when it does come up it sound more like Logic venting into the mike then actual written verses. “A word from our sponsors” is the classic Logic outro, that is hysterical and goofy, but that is quickly turned back around with “Wrist” which has the one and only feature on the album in Pusha T. It’s a hard beat with hard verses by Logic and a great addition in Pusha T who thrives in this style of song. It’s a top 3 track on this album in my opinion. “Super Mario World” is properly named. It is a different kind of beat and song then what Logic usually dishes out. The beat is a little quicker and something that could be on Super Mario. I would not surprise me if this is a song that turns out to be one of the popular ones along with “Flexicution” and “Wrist”. Logic slows it down with “44 Bars” and focuses on delivering strong verses. It is a simpler sound then the rest of the album, but lyrically is incredible and well done. One of the final tracks, “Slave” is slowed down as well, but Logic is not. He uses his typical quick flow and delivery to attack the beat. Overall, Logic created a strong album with a handful of entertaining songs and if he continues on this track of an album every year who knows what else to expect. I am not tired of what he has to offer and I doubt his fan base is either.
